Do I need a referral?
If you think your child needs a referral, please contact our office Care Coordinator, Jody, and she will discuss the request with the doctor and initiate the referral or schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss.
Does my insurance require a referral?
Most insurances do not require a referral, however TriCare does require one. Although your insurance may not require a referral, most specialists require a referral from the primary care physician.
Who do you refer to?
We refer to Children’s Mercy Hospital, Saint Luke's Health System, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, and University of Kansas Medical Center, as well as many private practices.
Can I schedule my own specialist appointment?
Most specialists require a referral from your primary care physician. However there are a few that the parent can call directly. Please contact our office Care Coordinator, Jody, and she will discuss the request with the doctor and initiate the referral or schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss.
