Our Newborn Team
We are so excited you have allowed us the privilege to join you in caring for your child.
At our office, we provide comprehensive care for your infant in a warm and friendly environment. We offer a multi-disciplinary approach that represents years of experience in dealing with newborn babies, combined with an infant feeding support group and experienced support nurses that will help you through this stage of raising your child.
We believe we have brought together the best group of doctors, nurses, and other professionals, along with services and technology to ensure we take the best care of your child.
Our dedicated Newborn Team consists of Board Certified Pediatricians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, a Nurse Lactation Consultant and other nursing support. This team comes together to provide a supportive and personalized approach to assisting you with your newborn care during those first months and through the first year of newborn care.

We want to welcome you and your child to our family!
If you would like to meet your doctor and the newborn team before your child is born, feel free to call our office @ 913-906-0900, option 3, and set up a prenatal visit. For more information about our providers, click here.
Our office offers prenatal visits at no charge for parents to come in and meet the physician of their choice, as well as a member of our “Newborn Team”. During these visits we discuss such things as hospital follow-up of the newborn, office hours and after-hours care, frequency of exams, access to lactation support, general baby care, immunizations, and any other questions new parents may have.
Newborn Care FAQs
When should I bring my baby in for their first visit?
When the baby is discharged from the hospital our newborn team will call you to make your first appointment. The baby will be seen within the first 7 days of life.
What happens at my first visit?
This is a very exciting time for you and your family. You will meet with a member of our newborn team as well as a physician. We will do a medical exam on the baby, go over many questions, including measurements, nursing and feeding, sleeping, and safety.
Newborn Feeding Support
We have an infant feeding support group that meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday, every month, at 5:30 pm in our lobby. This support group will offer assistance for breastfeeding moms, formula feeding guidance, support for new parents, feeding solids questions, and free weight checks. It is led by a member of our newborn team. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions, bring your baby to get an updated weight and to socialize with other moms.
In addition to our twice-monthly support group meeting, there is also a private facebook group that patients can join. The private group aims to be a source of support for nursing mothers and newborn parents in a time and format that is convenient for you.
Please see our News & Announcements page for the current month meeting days.
